Natural Resource Ecology and Management
Research in the Roe lab has a taxonomic focus on freshwater mollusks (Unionioida), fishes, shrimps (Atyidae), and terrestrial snails. I have two major areas of research interest, I use phylogenetic methods to understand the evolution of organisms and their distributions, and population genetic tools to aid in conservation of rare species. My lab has recently started generating genome-wide data sets for population genomic and phylogenomic projects.
